BARK Chart and Feedback

BHS values a positive, productive learning environment.  While your children are not given grades for their behaviors, they (and you) will receive feedback on their behaviors on a regular basis.  BHS uses a “BARK” system for teaching behaviors and providing feedback on these behaviors.  See this chart for more information…

BARK Chart

Bulldogs ….. Expectations

  • Set goals and monitor own progress
  • Ask questions and participate
  • Advocate for your own learning
  • Include and work well with others

Keep it Positive

Students will be rated as “Meets” or “Does Not Meet” for each course.  Teachers will update ratings on the 15th and 30th of each month.  This information is available on PowerSchool on the “Grades and Attendance” tab (under “Standards Grades”).

BARK Instructions

This reporting will begin on September 15th for first semester and on January 30th for second semester.  We are working on solutions to provide parents and students this feedback in a more convenient way.

If you have questions about your child’s rating or comment, please speak with your child and the reporting teacher.  Interventions will be provided for students that are not meeting expectations.
