A simple ECG, when used to screen young adults, can detect serious heart conditions. Recording the electrical activity of the heart using electrodes attached to the skin with a mild adhesive, can detect approximately 70% of the abnormalities or “markers” from these heart conditions that are associated with sudden cardiac arrest that a stethoscope cannot. This free screening is open to ALL STUDENTS AT BHS. Please ask any PE teacher for more information on how to sign up.
