BHS Students Honored with Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

Batavia High School is proud to announce this year’s winning Scholastic Art & Media Students. Scholastic Art and Writing is a regional art competition for high school students. Our region encompasses 5 counties surrounding the Chicagoland area and is hosted by Downers Grove North High School. Although students can enter on their own, our program is able to submit a selection of work each year to represent Batavia High School. Winning pieces are then awarded by the Scholastic panel in categories of Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention for the Suburban Chicago Region. Students who receive a Gold Key move on to compete at the national level.

Here is this year’s winning work. Congratulations to all of the award recipients.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are administered at the national level by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. The Awards were established in 1923 and are the country’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens.
