Senior Physical Education Award
The Batavia High School Physical Education and Health Department annually recognizes two high school seniors—one boy and one girl—with exemplary physical education careers, fitness achievements and personal citizenship standards that are a model to others, and high levels of integrity, self-discipline and collaboration.
Criteria:
- Does an exemplary job in overall fitness standards
- Has strong attributes in the areas of:
- Attitude, effort, helpfulness, teamwork, sportsmanship
Nomination and Selection Process:
- Members of the department will nominate students at the end of each term. The nominees will be reviewed at the end of the year and one male student and one female student will be awarded the senior physical education award.
- The nominator/department head will present the award to the senior winners on awards night.
Recognition
Students will be recognized at the end-of-the-year senior banquet. Each winner will receive:
- A certificate and letter of award
- Their name permanently engraved on a plaque that will hang in the physical education center
- A picture recognizing year-to-year winners
- A three-month membership to XSport Fitness
