Students will be placed in course(s) based according to their level of language acquisition.

This course is designed for students who have limited English skills because their first language is not English. Fundamental listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills are taught through appropriate literature, as well as vocabulary and grammar to develop cognitive academic language proficiency. Individualized language assistance is also given in the students’ other content area courses.  Students are placed in this course based on Language Proficiency Test scores.
